WITH PRAISE FOR HYMNS |

|
There is nothing like a timeless hymn |
|
that tunes my heart to praise. |
| There's "What a Friend" and "At the Cross", |
| and then there's "Jesus Saves". |
| Those thankful words wash over me |
| and soothe my restless mind. |
| When "At the Cross" "Just As I Am", |
| my Savior's love I find. |
| Hymns link me to a heritage |
| that stretches back in time |
| to others who, amazed by grace, |
| sang doctrine made to rhyme. |
| I do enjoy the worship songs |
| that cause me to look in. |
| But when it comes to looking up, |
| there's nothing like a hymn. |
