Our Family Trees were planted in Texas!

Archibald Willingham
(1786 - 1856)

Robert Sidney Jackson
    (1843 - 1913)

WILLINGHAMs and JACKSONs came to Texas and planted their roots that intertwined amongst many other families until our own Willingham/Jackson connection developed.

WELCOME to my genealogy pages.

My sister and I started our search by taking the names and dates Mother had written into our bibles along with family stories and legends.  We went to the library where we read books and census records.  We sent off to the various archives for Military records and wills and collected marriage records from court houses and books of record.  In May, 1999, I started this web-site in hopes of finding information about siblings and parents of all our families.

Disclaimer:  Most of the information found in the following pages about our WILLINGHAM family has been carefully documented but some of it came from various cousins.  My husband's JACKSON family has been proven back to Joseph Jackson born 1798.  Through research on the web and that of many cousins, this site has grown in great proportions and there is much that has not been proven by me.  Therefore, as always, it is up to the individual researcher to prove for himself the information they find in the following pages about his own family.  Thanks to everyone who has helped this site grow!

I have been elated with the finding of each name as it has taken it's place on the branches, twigs, and limbs of a great tree; and enjoyed watching the roots of the tree grow deeper with each fragment of information fed to them.
