(1)		William married first 31 May 1867 in Washington County, Texas, USA[19] to Karoline BUCK[17,18] who was born about 1837[20] and died 16 Dec 1875 in Austin County, Texas, USA[20]. The cause was Brusrtkrankheit[29](Breast or chest disease[30]). She was buried 17 Dec 1875.
(2)		William married second 04 Apr 1876 in Washington County, Texas, USA[21,22] to Karoline (Mina) THIELEMANN.
(3)		William married third 23 Aug 1879 in Washington County, Texas, USA[24] to Henriette Wilhelmine Karoline (Caroline) MEISKE[23] who was born 07 Apr 1852 in Olppendorf, Westfalen, Germany[25] and died 24 Jan 1882 in New Wehdem, Austin County, Texas, USA[25] OF "Nervenfieber"(Nerfous fever, typhus)[34] and was buried 26 Jan 1882 at St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Wehdem, Austin County, Texas, USA[34]. She was the daughter of Friedrich Meiske and Charlotte HOWELMEYER.
(4)		William married fourth 20 May 1882 in Washington County, Texas, USA to Charlotte Marie (Mary)LAMPE'[4a] who was born 22 Apr 1860 in Rahden, Westfalen, Germany[26,27] and and died 24 Jul 1948[27]. She is buried in the St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery in New Wehdem, Austin County, Texas, USA[2a,3a]. She was the daughter of Wilhelm LAMPE' and Charlotte GRIEBE.

5		v.	William SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1) was born 24 Mar 1883 in Washington County, Texas, USA and died 07 Jan 1929 in Washington County, Texas, USA. He is buried in the St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery, Austin County, Texas, USA. He married[10] 02 Sep 1907 in Galveston, Galveston Co, Texas, USA to Louise HOLD 2(Wilhelm1) who was born 27 August 1890 in Washington County, Texas, USA and died 11 Oct 1973 in Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA. She is buried in the Prairie Lea Cemetery[11a], Brenham, Texas, USA.
		vi.	Malinda SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1) was born 14 Jan 1888 and died 04 Nov 1966. She married Willie BREDDIN[12a] who was born 22 Mar 1874. He died 29 Aug 1947 and is buried in the Phillipsburg Cemetery[13a], Austin County, Texas, USA.

7		viii.	Lena SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1) was born 12 Feb 1894 and died 27 Jan 1999.  She married on 11 Feb 1913 to Willie HUEBNER[12a].
8		ix.	Ella SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1)) was born 02 Nov 1896[13a] She died 31 Mar 1944[13a] and is buried in the Industry Brethern Cemetery[13a], Austin County, Texas, USA. She married William "Willie" FICK[12a] who was born 12 Aug 1887 and died 20 May 1972. He is buried in the Industry Brethern Cemetery[13a], Austin County, Texas, USA. Ella was a twin of Emma[12a].
9		x.	Emma SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1) was born 02 Nov 1896[13a] and died 18 Oct 1971[13a]. She is buried in the Industry Brethren Cemetery[13a], Austin, County, Texas, USA. She married Vincent CHALOUPKA[12a] who was born 19 Sep 1896[13a] and died 18 Oct 1971[13a]. He is buried in the Industry Brethren Cemetery[13a], Austin, County, Texas, USA. Emma was a twin of Ella[12a].
		xi.	Ida Hulda SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1) was born 2 Feb 1905 and died 31 Dec 1973.  She married 22 Nov 1920[12b] to Mannie SCHULTZ[12a][12a].
		xii.	Mathilda SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1) was born 16 Feb 1898[13a] and died 12 Mar 1952[13a]. She is buried in the National Cemetery[13a], Austin, County, Texas, USA. She married Wilhelm "Willie" DREVOJONEK[12a] who was born 29 Aug 1887[13a] and died 21 Apr 1959[13a]. He is buried in the National Cemetery[13a], Austin, County, Texas, USA
10		xiii.	Theodore SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1) married Ella HUEBNER[12a] who was born 28 Jan 1893. She died 06 Jan 1929[12a] and is buried in the Welcome Cemetery #2[13a], Austin, County, Texas, USA.
		xiv.	Albert B. SCHAEFER4 (William3Wilhelm2Gerd Heinrich1) married 03 June 1923 in Brenham, Washington County, Texas, USA to Alvina MOURER[12a].  Albert was  probably buried at Sandy Hill Lutheran Church cemetery (between Brenham and Old Washington).[12a]  Alvina, the daughter of Robert and Alvina Menn Maurer was born 15 November 1904 in the Wesley Community of Washington County.  She died 15 June 1995  and buried at St. John's Lutheran Church in Prairie Hill.(obit)  Their five daughters are still living.
