ALBERT AND MINNIE JACKSON

26.  Albert Sidney JACKSON3[13](Robert2Joseph1) was born 04 Jan 1882[14] or 1884[14a] in Polk County, Texas[14]. He died 15 Apr 1960[14,15] in Galveston County, Texas and is buried in the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery[16], Polk County, Texas[15]. He had light blue eyes, dark brown hair, and was tall with a small build.[14a]He married Minnie DEVEREAUX. She was born 08 Dec 1879[16,17] in Texas. She died 13 Nov 1950[17,18] in Texas  of heart failure and is buried in the Union Springs Church Cemetery next to her husband. Minnie was the daughter of John C. Devereaux[16] and Louisa Tarver.

NOTE:  Date of birth from cemetery headstone and draft registration Sep 12, 1918.  Don't know which is right.  He might have lied on the registration.

The children[13,23] of Albert and Minnie Jackson were:

i. 

 Minnie Alberta JACKSON4[13](Albert3Robert2Joseph1) was born about 1905 in Texas. She died 1972 in Texas and is buried in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Angelina County, Texas. She married 1928 to Elbert Hubbard BUSH, Sr. who was born 12 Aug 1903 in Jonesborough, Louisiana. He died in Texas and is buried in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Angelina County, Texas

 Albert Lurenza "Buster" JACKSON4[13](Albert3Robert2Joseph1) was born 24 Sep 1906 in Diboll, Angelina County, Texas. He died 27 Nov 1967 (obit) in LaMarque, Galveston County, Texas and is buried in Grace Memorial Park in Galveston County, Texas. He married 25 Mar 1933 Angelina County, Texas to Opal Gertrude CARRINGTON, the daughter of  Jeremiah Greenwood CARRINGTON.  She was born 08 Dec 1914 in Prescott, Nevada County, Arkansas and died of cancer 05 Aug 1981 in Dickinson, Galveston County, Texas and is buried in Grace Memorial Park in Galveston County, Texas.  Henderson Devereaux JACKSON4(Albert3Robert2Joseph1) was born b. 19 Nov 1908 in Polk County, Texas. He died 18 Jun 1912 in Temple, Texas and is buried in the Union Springs Cemetery in Polk County, Texas.

 J. B. JACKSON4(Albert3Robert2Joseph1) was born 12 Feb 1916[26] in Diboll, Angelina County, Texas and died 28 Apr 1997[28] in LaMarque, Galveston County, Texas.(obit) He married 21 Jul 1933[26] in Louisiana to Elma Ruth STRAUSS.

Minnie Devereaux Jackson died of heart failure[26].
"Buster" played on the first Diboll, Texas High School baseball team in 1925, the same year he graduated.
Buster Jackson attended two years of Stephen F. Austin Teachers College in Nacogdoches, Texas before becoming a pitcher in the baseball minor leagues.
"Buster" died of heart failure.
Gertrude was the daughter of Jeremiah Greenwood Carrington and Clara Lenora Hightower.
Gertrude died of colon cancer.
Elbert Hubbard Bush played baseball with Buster Jackson in Texas and Louisiana[25].
